Among the programs of the Center for Continuing Education of Aquinas University of Legazpi are the Pre-Bar Review Classes. These classes would assist the graduates of the Aquinas University College of Law and other law schools in Bicol to pass the Bar examinations administered by the Supreme Court of the Philippines.
Now that the Center is more equipped with competent professors and facilities, it is now in a better position to host review classes. The Erquiaga Hall which is located at the downtown campus is the one that serves as the review hall. Now, it is furnished with newly-installed air-conditioning units, comfortable chairs and a sound system. Reading rooms are made available to reviewees in the entire duration of the review period which makes learning even more conducive. More importantly, richer collection of review and reference materials which are located in the Professional Schools Library can be availed of the reviewees.
In September 2005, Aquinas University of Legazpi was accredited by the Supreme Court of the Philippines and the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Committee as an MCLE Provider in the Bicol Region. The University, as an MCLE Provider is mainly tasked to conduct MCLE to lawyers who are members of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) in order to ensure that throughout their career, they keep abreast with law and jurisprudence, maintain the ethics of the profession and enhance the standards of the practice of law.
Aquinas University of Legazpi through the Center of Continuing Education will be holding MCLE Lecture Series. Its first lecture was launched last April 2006.
