The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) through SPO3 Raymundo N. Oliver, Jr., gave the University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi (UST-Legazpi) a 100% evaluation rate for the Fire, Earthquake, and Mass Casualty Drill on September 25, 2019. The disaster drill was spearheaded by the UST-Legazpi ALERT Emergency Response Team.
The following recommendations for the next disaster drill: 1) all staging areas should have a first-aider; 2) include incident commander in a number of trainings to comply with national and international standards; 3) ambulance protocol should be observed; 4) firefighters must have their fire extinguishers; 5) availability of signages for evacuation, and; 6) conduct of tsunami drill for the second semester.
