Human Resource and Management Office

In every institution, the Human Resource plays a crucial role. Recognizing the importance of this office, Aquinas University of Legazpi has a pool of competent HR staff to make sure that every AQ department is correctly staffed by the precise number of employees with skills relevant to the office’s needs. Apart from this, the Human Resource Management Office handles the recruitment, hiring, placement, salary and benefits administration, and training and development of AQ personnel. This office also has the responsibility of carrying out labor activities.

Other functions of the Human Resource and Management Office are as follows:

• • Plan and supervise training and staff development.

• Devise policies pertaining to the rules and regulations to be followed by the AQ employees.
• Disseminate the new approved AQ policies and regulations to the concerned employees.
• Evaluate and develop salary schemes and benefits of employees.
• Carry out job evaluation and wage review.
• Handle labor activities.
• Devise, revise, and implement policies regarding recruitment, hiring, transfer and promotion of staff.

 

Student Development Services

The Student Development Services (SDS) office working philosophy is anchored on “human wholeness” which embodies the whole thinking and teaching of a great man, philosopher and patron of the University St. Thomas Aquinas.

The Aquinas University of Legazpi guidance program operates on the principles of the worth and dignity of the individual, his uniqueness as a person and his ability to learn despite the slow process. This capacity to learn and solve problems became the direct force in his values, objectives and motivation and in the process; he is always becoming into a person that will give him self-actualization and self-realization.

The main objective of the SDS is to provide the AUL community, especially the students, with experiences that benefit the individual to fully recognize and develop the his/her potentials and contribute to the development and progress of the community.

The learning programs offered by the office include individual and group counseling on career, academic, social and community concerns. The office is staffed with full-time counselors and student assistants to meet the needs of the students. The personnel of the office are always ready to help each individual explore the realities of life because they believe that every member of the community is important and everyone has the capacity to become a “total person.”

IT Help Desk

The Aquinas University of Legazpi I.T Help Desk serves the entire AQ community with apt solutions and assistance for all your troubles in information technology. The IT Help Desk can assist you with network and email account problems; answer your general computer inquiries; advise on available instruction leaflets and guides; provide paper for the public computer room printers; and offer user support for software on the AQ network.

AQ Endowment Fund

“For unto whomsoever much is given, of him much shall be required…”

-Luke 12:48-

Endowments have been called “the gift that keeps on giving”. It is a fund that is made up of gifts, bequests, that are subject to a requirement that the principal is maintained intact in perpetuity and invested for a defined period of time or until sufficient assets have been accumulated to create a source of income for an organization/institution for a designated purpose. Donors may set up an endowment to fund their specific interest.
